What Project Legacy is not
A self-help support tool
Project Legacy prepares routines, stories and short phrases for hard moments, and plays them in a voice whose owner has consented. That is the whole of what it does. It is a self-help support tool for households and for the staff who care for their children during the day.
Not medical care or therapy
Nothing in Project Legacy is medical advice, an assessment, a treatment, or therapy, and using it does not create a relationship with a licensed professional of any kind. If you have a concern about your child's or your own health, take it to a qualified professional.
It does not assess, score or predict
Project Legacy does not assess or predict anything about a child or an adult. It carries no scores or levels for a person's state, and no part of it decides whether a moment is dangerous. When you tell the app what is happening, it gives you words for that moment; the judgment about the moment stays with you.
Educator sessions are educational
Video sessions booked through the app are with an educator. They are educational conversations about routines and the words a household uses. They are not counseling, therapy or a medical consultation, and an educator does not assess or treat.
Staff use their own protocol
Project Legacy Facility gives staff a calm two-step plan for a hard moment, read aloud in a system voice. It does not replace a site's own protocol or a staff member's judgment. In an emergency, staff follow their site's protocol.
Personalization is not a claim about a person
Guidance is personalized from the names and dates of birth you enter, through our quantitative analysis. That personalization shapes the words and rhythm of what is prepared for your household. It is not a finding about anyone, and it is not presented as one.
Where to take questions
If anything in the app reads as though it is doing more than this, tell us at support@legacyclinical.app and we will correct it.
